We are pleased to introduce our services to support deaf/blind members of the Durham Region community. With a strong team of dedicated deaf/blind advocates and associates, we offer various clinical, community, and support programs.
All of our listed community services are accessible to those who are deaf or blind. We strive to allow access to all of our programs with accommodations available for those who require them.
In addition to our community services, we offer targeted programs designed specifically for clients who are deaf/blind.
Counselling and peer support groups tailored to deaf/blind individuals.
Assisting deaf/blind individuals with daily life skills such as cooking, mobility, hygiene, and self-care.
Providing guidance on how to prepare resumes, apply for jobs, prepare for interviews, as well as accommodation and career development.
Coaching and assistance with navigating the community and using public forms of transportation.
Guidance on the use of screen readers, Braille displays, and other assistive technology.
Pangea Inclusive Support hosts several events throughout the year to promote socialization, adventure, and inclusion.
